The Problem

Finding a place to eat can be difficult when you’re overwhelmed with options.

The Objective

The goal for [Censored] was to create a solution to help a user easily find places to eat in a local or designated area. It also needed to consider some proprietary filters that the client had established. Monetization can occur with restaurants paying for promotion of their location or specific dishes to targeted demographics. The deliverables for this engagement were a brand identity and supporting assets for the client to use in presentations for fundraising.

The Execution

We ran a thorough discovery session in which we helped expand on the core concept of the product. I ran several activities to engage the client and educate them on branding aspects of the project. Once we had enough information from them we discussed product flows and experience. A colleague worked on the branding while I focused on wire-framing the entire app flow while keeping in consideration the nuances of native app design. Once the client signed off on the branding and wireframes I created a series of hi-fi mockups, of a specific flow, for the client to use in their fundraising presentation.

A thorough wire-frame was key in mapping out the product and deciding which flows would best convey the value proposition to potential investors.

Once key flows were identified, high-fidelity mockups were created to assist in fundraising presentation.

Conclusion

The deliverables combined with the clients insight and experience in the restaurant industry will set them up for success during their capital seeking phase.
